If you wanted something even stiffer you could get like some 11 gauge sheet metal cut to the size of your grid material. Then simply start drilling holes into it for the air flow. If you made the sheet material about 1 inch larger all around you could cut and bend that over as tabs for the rivets to grab through. Has anyone used this for bonding together steel body parts. I have a Jeep with a small rust spot I want to cut out and replace and this looks like a good alternative to welding since I don't have a welder. It has 20-22 gauge sheet metal in the repair area I'm guessing. Thanks for any information.

I figured it was fine since Eastwood sold it specifically for use as patch panel material. Am I wrong, or can paint be made to stick if I follow the proper procedures?
